Subject: do you still remember me?

Dear Malgosia,
I hope you'll not tap on the delete key but read on even when you have
read my name. It's three years ago that I was the reason for the
greatest disappointment in your life when you found me and your sister
together.
I cannot tell you how that ashamed me and how terribly awful and bad I
felt afterwards. I haven't heard of you since and I wonder whether you
still remember me with at least some nice rememberances about our love
three years ago.
Since then I have done a lot of different things. First I flew directly
from Warsaw to Albania to visit my family there.
It was terrible because the living conditions in that country are
absolutely bleak and poor. When I came back to London I tried to get in
contact with you but whenever you heard me on the phone you slammed the
receiver down.
I felt so guilty in those months afterwards because you were the first
woman I really loved ever so deeply. Nearly a year after the terrible
incident in Warsaw I met a woman called Jennifer who wanted to marry me.
I was so desperate that I agreed - but it was a terrible mistake. We are
divorced now and I am absolutely depressed because I feel so lonely,
especially as the last orchestra which employed me as a conductor sacked
me a couple of weeks ago.
Malgosia, I still think of you every single day and I would love to see
you again and talk things over. Wouldn't it be possible to meet anywhere?
You'd make me the happiest man on earth if you wrote back, yours, ever yours,
Tibor
