Review of Nick Hornby's "About A Boy"
We read the book "About A Boy" written by Nick Hornby, at first the title didn't seem interesting to me, but I changed my mind: as soon as I started reading the first pages, I actually liked reading it.
The language isn't very difficult, because most words Nick Hornby chose are so easy that you understand the book without looking words up in a dictionary all the time. Nick Hornby used a lot of slang, not the words you normally learn at school, sometimes that makes the book very funny.
I liked the story, too, itīs very interesting, it's little bit weird, because such a close relationship between a 36-year-old man and a 12-year-old boy is not very common unless they're father and son, but I think thatīs one point which makes the story more interesting, another point is the way Nick Hornby describes Marcusī feelings and thoughts very detailed.
I think "About A Boy" is a very nice book, though the title doesnīt sound very interesting.
