Opinion of the book
"About a Boy" written by Nick Hornby is an interesting book. It is easy to read and understand, also for somebody who doesn't have a big vocabulary range.
The content, especially the relationship of Marcus and Will, appeals to people of different ages, so it isn't only a book for young people. You can see how Will and Marcus change their character at the time. First, Marcus is a shy boy who doesn't say what he wants and hasn't any friends. Later, he is self-confident and he has found a real friend.
Will is an easy-going man, who doesn't want to have long relations with women. Through the influence of Marcus the character of Will changes. You see this in the scene where Will falls in love with Rachel.
The book shows how people can change if something special happens. It tells about important things like suicide and relationships between people.
Finally I would like to say that "About a boy" is a book which everyone who loves reading a "big" story should have read.
