Australian sheep farmers

Nearly 2/3 of Australia’s total area is used for agriculture. Over 90% of that are used for sheep.  With over 165 million animals, there are 10 times less human beings located in Australia than sheep which makes Australia the biggest wool exporter worldwide.

Together with 14 other countries, Australia is a member of the Caims-Group which is a kind of Sheep-Nato. The Caims Group protects the animal welfare, their health and of course the international prices. You can see that the Caims-Group is successful, because there are nearly no animal diseases in Australia.  Many sheep are exported to countries like China, Japan, Egypt and the UdSSR.

By the way: After graduation, Prince Harry of England also worked on a sheep farm in Australia.
