Reading
Suggestions
What's your impression of
the book? Would you suggest a friend of yours to read it as well?
- "I liked reading that book. The
vocab wasn't difficult to understand. If you didn't know
the word for something you could understand the sense of
the whole sentence, anyway. It was an interesting topic -
the confrontation of two (or more) people who think not
the same as the other (who think really differently). I
would suggest a friend to read it as well, yes. I think
she will like it, too.
" I didn't like
this book. It's written in a boring way. The vocabs at
the end of the book are explained in English. The book we
read last year ("Betrayed") was more exciting
and the vocabs were translated into German. Also, the
theme was better. So I would suggest a friend of mine to
read "Betrayed" instead.
"I think, this is
a book which shows what the situation between Catholics
and Protestants in Northern Ireland really is like and
you can learn a lot about it. It's an interesting
story about the children, I really liked reading it
and I would suggest a friend to read it."
- "I really liked the book. It is
well written and I could really well imagine everything
that happened. I would suggest a friend of mine to read
it, because it's good to learn about the problems between
Catholics and Protestants in Northern Ireland. The book
shows what can happen because of these silly fights. It
also shows that there are ways to live peacefully
together, no matter whether you're a Catholic or a
Protestant."
