The story takes place in 1976 when the police killed many young Africans
during a demonstration against the school-system. The
relations were bad, so to see on pages 75/76.

the typewriter must have been stolen. She called Khulu,
actually a grandmother,
a "girl", although she was much older. |
This shows the
general attitude of whites against other races.
